The AP TET Language II English panel evaluates proficiency across foundational grammar architecture, comprehension skills, and structural pedagogical language methods.

1. Content & Grammar Architecture

  • Parts of Speech (Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb, Conjunction, Preposition)
  • Tenses & Auxiliary Verbs (Active Voice & Passive Voice transformations)
  • Types of Sentences (Simple, Compound, Complex, Direct & Indirect Speech)
  • Vocabulary Metrics (Synonyms, Antonyms, Homophones, Idiomatic Expressions)
  • Correction of Sentences, Spelling Skills, and Punctuation Marks

2. Reading Comprehension & Vocabulary

  • Unseen Prose Passages (Contextual understanding and inference extraction)
  • Identification of Central Themes and lexical values inside informational paragraphs

3. English Language Methodology (Pedagogy)

  • Aspects of English Language (History, Importance, and Objectives of teaching ESL)
  • Methods and Approaches to Language Teaching (Structural, Communicative, etc.)
  • Development of Language Skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing - LSRW)
  • Curriculum Design, Textbooks, Evaluation Matrix, and Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
